Company › Social responsibility
TotalSoft fully understands the multidimensional role that an organization must assume in a society.
With our involvement in various social responsibility projects we want to give a good example to the citizens, IT community and our employees. TotalSoft CSR Program implies cultural, educational and environment protection actions, donations for unprivileged children and recognition in various areas.
We turned our attention to a noble goal, that of
transforming step by step the future of some communities in Romania. We turned
it into a long-term project in which all members of TotalSoft team can get
involved. Below are just a few examples of what we have managed to do so far.
We donated laptops and tablets needed for the "online
school" to three communities whose members face material difficulties,
proposing to give children with good results at school a opportunity to the big
world.
We supported the development of the annual national
InfoEducation contest, Gălăciuc Camp, Vrancea County, which is addressed to
talented high school students and interested in developing skills in the field
of computer applications.
We joined the United Way Romania effort and the "Change
begins with us" campaign to contribute, through donations and
volunteering, to the education of the young generation. Only by getting
involved, we make sure that all children, regardless of their parents' material
situation, have access to a quality education. We encourage you to get
involved, to support United Way Romania programs together. DONATE. BE A
VOLUNTEER. ACT NOW.
Together with Logo, we developed the international cultural
project "Virtuoso". The project is built around the musical
personality of Dimitrie Cantemir, in his capacity as an international personality,
who created historical links between various cultures. “Virtuoso” proposes the
musical works of Dimitrie Cantemir in Romania, adapted and reinterpreted for
orchestra, in the composition of Cengiz Onural, for the first time in history.
We facilitated the publication of the book in Romanian
"Dimitrie Cantemir - theorist and composer of Turkish music", by
Eugenia Popescu-Judetz, in partnership with Curtea Veche Publishing House. This
book presents a series of monographs and essays on Turkish music and Romanian
folklore, being initially published in 1999, exclusively in Turkish and
English. The book is a tribute to Dimitrie Cantemir's contribution to music, a lesser-known
side of his native life.
We support projects initiated by the Bucharest Writers
Association together with other organizations, such as Euro Culturart and the
Romanian Writers' Union. We are involved in promoting multi-art projects - the
Poetry and Jazz Marathon.
We sponsored a group of 6 students from St. Sava National
College who won first prize at the NASA Ames Research Center and National Space
Society (NSS) competition with the SERENDIPITY project - a spacecraft,
independent of any planet, capable of supporting 12,500 people, surpassing
another 3,000 international teams.
We supported the expeditions of Alex Găvan, one of the top
climbers in Romania at extreme altitude. Alex aims to climb the 14 peaks of
over 8,000 meters in the world without additional oxygen. So far, the Romanian alpinist
has reached six of these peaks, three of which represented the First Romanian
Ascension: Shisha Pangma (8027m) in 2013; Makalu (8463m) in 2008; Gasherbrum I
(8068m) in 2007. Conquest of Broad Peak
(8047m) in 2014; Manaslu (8156m) in 2011; Cho Oyu (8201m) in 2006 marked
the second Romanian ascent.
Andrei Purice, student in the 10th grade at the National
College „I. L. Caragiale ”from Ploieşti, gold medalist at the Balkan
Informatics Olympics in October 2010, received the award“ The most promising
young hope of Romanian IT ”during the TotalSoft Days event.
We developed internal programs centralized on recycling in
partnership with the administration of the class A office building in which
TotalSoft has its headquarters.
We get involved in paper and cardboard recycling programs,
in partnership with “Copacul de Papel”, or in waste collection programs
together with “Let’s Do It Romania”.
We recycle printer consumables, a project carried out
together with EDEFAU TECHNIK.
