Virtuoso is developed by leading company Logo, with the occasion of celebrating 35 years of activity, and implemented in Romania by Logo's local subsidiary TotalSoft, who celebrates 25 years of activity.
Logo Yazilim A.S. (Logo), the largest independent software vendor in the region, in collaboration with its local subsidiary TotalSoft, brought Dimitrie Cantemir's musical works in Romania, adapted for orchestra in a unique concert that took place on March 2, at the Romanian Athenaeum
The concert is an interpretation of Dimitrie Cantemir's musical works, adapted by composer Cengiz Onural, for orchestra and oriental instruments, with the participation of the "George Enescu" Philharmonic Orchestra and the Byzantine vocal group "Anton Pann", conductor Christian Badea.
"As a market leader in Turkey and Romania (with its local subsidiary TotalSoft), Logo aims to become a regional power in the technology area. Dimitrie Cantemir embodies exactly the synergies we want to create between the two countries. A scholar, intellectual, polyglot and artist, as well as the first theorist of Turkish music, Dimitrie Cantemir was led by his work and passion in a cultural incursion throughout the region. His extensive contribution to the oriental musical heritage is less known, so we wanted to bring it to light", M. Tuğrul Tekbulut, founder and president of the Logo.
"Virtuoso" Concert is an international cultural project, developed by leading company Logo, with the occasion of celebrating 35 years of activity, and implemented in Romania by Logo's local subsidiary TotalSoft, who celebrates 25 years of activity.
The "Virtuoso" project aims to bring to the audience the vast, but less well-known contribution of Dimitrie Cantemir to oriental music. Last autumn, in partnership with the Curtea Veche Publishing House, the two companies facilitated the publication of Eugenia Popescu-Judetz's book "Dimitrie Cantemir - Turkish Music Theorist and Composer".
